Job description
Head of Marketing

Department: Commercial

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: London, UK

Description

We see a world where we all contribute to a thriving planet and together, we are a collective force for good. The Planet Mark is a sustainability certification which recognises outstanding achievements, encourages action, and builds an empowered community of like‑minded individuals. We work with businesses to rigorously measure their carbon footprint and social value, engage their staff and supply chain to unlock their knowledge and drive passion for change, and communicate their progress to build a positive brand. We help businesses put a purpose at the heart of their organisation that brings social, environmental, and economic considerations together.

We're looking for a Marketing Leader who can turn insight into impact – someone who blends brand vision with performance discipline. You'll own and execute a B2B marketing strategy that strengthens Planet Mark's position in the market, builds high‑intent demand, and directly fuels revenue growth. Working closely with the Sales and Product Leadership team, you'll shape targeted, purpose‑driven communications that resonate across priority sectors and scale our reach.

What that means day to day
  • Design and deliver a marketing strategy that unites brand, performance, SEO, AI‑driven optimisation, and campaigns – driving high‑intent demand and measurable revenue impact.
  • Evolve and protect the Planet Mark brand, ensuring consistent, compelling communication that resonates across priority audiences and sectors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team executing integrated campaigns, ABM motions, events, paid activity, and digital content.
  • Build a data‑first marketing function by owning analytics across traffic, engagement, CAC, pipeline growth, attribution accuracy, and conversion optimisation.
  • Oversee continuous optimisation of our digital channels and marketing tech infrastructure to improve insights, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Deliver a strategic events programme – including flagship events, webinars, sector activations, and speaker opportunities – to expand reach and deepen engagement.
  • Ensure seamless alignment with Sales and Product to support lead quality, nurture pathways, and customer lifecycle performance.
What you’ll need to be successful
  • A seasoned Marketing Leader with experience of leading B2B marketing functions and driving commercial growth through brand building, SEO, AI‑informed optimisation, content and multi‑channel digital strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in building predictable demand engines using analytics, attribution modelling and data‑driven decision making.
  • Strong command of tools such as Google Analytics and marketing automation platforms, with the ability to create clarity around pipeline metrics and marketing ROI.
  • Leadership and Management experience; leading a multi‑disciplinary marketing function.
  • Commercially minded, with an ability to link marketing activity to business outcomes, revenue targets and organisational growth.
  • Passionate about sustainability, climate action or purpose‑led business and motivated by marketing that drives meaningful impact.
