Overview

You'll work closely with the Group General Counsel, overseeing the day-to-day management of legal matters and deputising at executive meetings across the new Group. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to influence at the highest level. This role involves leading a high-performing legal team, fostering collaboration and strong stakeholder engagement, and delivering strategic legal advice aligned with business goals. It also includes direct management of specialist legal areas. You'll also oversee legal advice across the Society and the Bank entities, working closely with the Head of Legal Operations. This is a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, with expectation of making bold, data-driven decisions that drive performance and deliver measurable results. Ideally suitable for someone who has strategic mindset, strong commercial judgement, and the willingness to rethink traditional methods.
