Job description
Responsibilities
  • To provide leadership and coaching to the management team and employees within Cartier by guiding with sound advice, information (data) and practical guidance concerning HR issues, including employment legislation, recruitment, policy related matters, performance management and learning and development.
  • Act as primary lead on all HR people issues within Cartier and act as a champion of our performance driven, diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Acting as a member of the Cartier management team (ExCo), provide a shared service approach to management and all 200+ Cartier UK employees, understanding their requirements, identifying and facilitating the resolution of specific HR issues via collaboration with the management and employees of Cartier.
  • Working closely with various Cartier departments, assist line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures, listening to grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures and performance management, in conjunction with the Richemont HR Director.
  • Be the voice and a primary actor in areas of culture and process change within Cartier's people strategy. Work closely with both the HRD of Richemont , the European HRD for Cartier and the Cartier management to ensure alignment to broader Richemont goals and strategies.
  • Ensure Cartier maintains employer of choice standards with regards to up to date policies, procedures, compliance and also in Health and Safety standards (in partnership with Cartier Management).
  • Working closely with employees and management, facilitate employee development objectives in line with the Company's Development Policy and manage all associated training (both for compliance and development).
  • Work on both local and regional Cartier strategic projects., Work with the UK HR Director and the UK HR community to deliver HR programmes to meet the needs of the business including appraisal training, objective setting, interviewing skills etc. Undertake and participate in HR and training projects as agreed with the HR Director.
  • Provide leadership, development and coaching to a team of two HR professionals as part of the UK Cartier HR team.
  • With the UK HR Director and UK HR community, develop, produce and maintain employment policies, procedures and management guidance notes and ensure that these policies and procedures are clearly documented and are available to all management and staff.
  • Identify and recommend changes to current systems and procedures to ensure high standards of service are maintained.
  • Be responsible for the continued development and effectiveness of the Cartier HR pages on the Richemont intranet and Richemont HR website pages and ensure that these are kept up to date.
  • Spend the needed time in the both retail and management environments to ensure that the employees of Cartier view you as the primary trusted point of contact for their coaching and mentoring needs. At the same time, advocate and drive the self-service HR model and digitisation of HR tools to further empower Cartier employees.
  • Process the necessary administrative tasks associated with day-to-day HR queries and issues liaising with the other HR functions.
Qualifications

Candidates will have 10+ years of successive HR experience, a background in managing other HR professionals, a strong knowledge of HRIS (such as WorkDay), excellent coaching and mentoring skills as well as a strong knowledge of UK legal best practices.
