About the Department

The Estates and Facilities Department at Goldsmiths, University of London, is responsible for maintaining a diverse and historically rich estate spanning approximately 16 acres in New Cross, London. With around 80 buildings, including Grade II listed structures and modern facilities, the department ensures a safe, sustainable, and high-quality environment for students, staff, and visitors. It plays a vital role in strategic estate planning, facilities management and health and safety compliance, supporting the university’s commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and research.

About the Role

The Head of Health and Safety will provide strategic leadership, ensuring Goldsmiths’ compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities, the role involves policy development, risk management and stakeholder engagement to maintain a safe and sustainable university environment.
