Key Responsibilities
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Estates Managers
  • Producing Board papers for senior stakeholders and Directors
  • Monitoring and managing key lease events, ensuring they are allocated and actioned in a timely way
  • Managing rent reviews and lease renewals from inception through to completion
  • Negotiating with landlords and resolving tenant/landlord disputes swiftly and commercially
  • Minimising disruption to stores by resolving operational property issues efficiently
  • Making and implementing strategic decisions, balancing risk against long‑term benefit
  • Ensuring property costs align with lease liabilities where appropriate
  • Taking overall responsibility for maintaining and improving the property database
  • Managing and overseeing relationships with third‑party professional teams
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior estates / retail property management role
  • Strong commercial awareness and a track record of achieving positive negotiation outcomes
  • Experience managing tenant / landlord relationships and third‑party property professionals
  • Strong knowledge of rent reviews, lease renewals and lease event management
  • Ideally, experience in the acquisition and disposal of retail premises
  • A track record of building and maintaining relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
