Job description

Responsible AI UK is a £31m programme funded by the UKRI’s Technology Mission Fund. It has established a nationally collaborative platform for the UK, working closely with the internationally leading research centres and institutions across the world. Our goal is to understand how we should shape the development of AI to benefit people, communities and society.

You will,workingin partnership with Future Worlds, support the delivery of a national, cross institutional AI and Robotics (AiR) Accelerator and manage the administration of all key component programmes of Research, Advocacy, Engagement and Marketing. You will alsotake the lead role in all operational aspects of the Accelerator to ensure the delivery of its scientific and translational strategy, as well as develop and manage external relationships with academic, investor and industry partners.The post isbased within the School of Electronics and Computer Science.

To be successful you will have:

  • A proven track record of providing high-level strategic support to senior managers, and providing management of operational, planning, and business-critical projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; personal agility, great time management skills and the ability to build strong credible relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of working collaboratively, coordinating resources and logistical requirements, and managing a team to provide an excellent service to all stakeholders.
  • The ability to review and refine administrative processes, delivering innovative solutions to problems where appropriate.
  • Relevant experience of Higher Education structures would be desirable.

The role is offer on a Part-Time (0.5 FTE), fixed term basis until 31 October 2027.
