Job summary

A leading housing and care organization is seeking a Head of Data Governance in Worcester. The successful candidate will lead Data Governance initiatives, ensure data accuracy and security, and manage a team. A DAMA certification and strong experience in data management are essential. This role offers a salary between £90,004 and £94,742, along with various employee benefits including a pension scheme and well-being support.

Role

Head of Data Governance – Worcester

£90,004 - £94,742 per year plus Company car or car allowance

35 hours per week – 9:00am to 5:00pm

Role purpose and team

This role sits in the Data Management Team as part of Technology which is responsible for delivering Technology capability within Sanctuary Group to ensure employees have access to the systems they need to perform their duties. The direct team for this role consists of 2 Data Quality Improvement Managers and 1 Data Quality Analyst reporting into the Head of Data Governance role.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Data Governance capabilities across the Group
  • Establishing policies, standards and frameworks that ensure data is accurate, secure, ethically managed and aligned with Sanctuary's strategic objectives
  • Ensure data risks are clearly articulated and escalated in accordance with Risk Matrix in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop and deliver a communication plan to promote awareness and understanding of data governance principles
Skills and experiences
  • DAMA certification (or Data Management industry equivalent)
  • Extensive experience implementing Data Stewardship within a complex organization
  • Substantial experience of diagnosing and resolving data issues
  • Substantial experience of managing and motivating people
