Are you an experienced dance practitioner or creative with a strong track record in teaching, choreography and industry-leading professional practice?

We are seeking an inspirational Head of Dance to lead and enhance our dynamic, industry-focused Dance courses. Working alongside two Deputy Heads of Dance, you will oversee a talented team of salaried and sessional tutors across Jazz, Tap, Commercial, Ballet, Contemporary, and Additional Skills, ensuring students receive exceptional, rigorous, and forward-thinking training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide creative direction and quality assurance for all dance training at Italia Conti
  • Contribute directly to teaching, choreography, and direction across classes, projects, and productions
  • Maintain and develop a skills syllabus supporting progression from entry to graduation
  • Collaborate with Course Leaders, faculty, and senior management to ensure provision is innovative, relevant, and aligned with academic and industry standards
  • Support student recruitment, outreach, widening participation, and act as Year Tutor where required.
About You
  • Experienced as a professional performer, creative, or educator in dance and/or musical theatre
  • Deep understanding of current artistic practice, industry expectations, and graduate skill requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to support students with varied confidence and experience across triple-threat disciplines.
