Job description

Eton Bridge Partners is working in partnership with an online marketplace client to appoint their new Head of Commercial Insights. The position will play a critical role in scaling the business by embedding data-driven decision-making across growth, retention, and profitability. This role will own commercial analytics end-to-end, providing insight across customer acquisition, lifetime value, churn, pricing, and unit economics to support rapid, sustainable growth.

As a senior commercial partner, you will work closely with Marketing, Technology/Product and Operations, with a direct line into the CFO and dotted line to the CEO. You will play a key role in translating data into clear actions that drive subscriber growth, retention, and margin improvement.

Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in commercial analytics within an online marketplace, subscriptions, or a high-growth digital business
  • Deep understanding of subscription metrics & customer economics
  • Strong ability to turn incomplete or imperfect, complex data sets into clear, commercially actionable insights
  • Experience working in fast-paced, VC/PE-backed or scale-up environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau) and analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Amplitude)
  • Exposure to attribution modelling, pricing optimisation, or predictive analytics
  • Strong financial acumen, finance qualification (ACA or equivalent) beneficial but not required
