Full time hours: 37.5 per week

Responsibilities
  • Shape and deliver the Clinical Engineering strategy.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
  • Drive innovation and digital transformation across the Trust.
  • Act as the key liaison with MHRA, NHS England and manufacturers on device safety.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of medical devices from procurement to disposal.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential: Degree in Clinical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Senior management experience in Clinical Engineering or Medical Devices within an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical device legislation, governance and risk management.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering Clinical Improvement Projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Understanding of NHS finance, procurement and capital planning processes (desirable).
  • Experience with regulatory bodies (MHRA, CQC).
  • PRINCE2 or other Project Management qualification.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent registration.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 accreditation, Lean or Quality Improvement methods.
  • Familiarity with Datix and risk management frameworks.
