This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head Housekeeper to join the team at Chestnut View Care Home, a highly-rated 60-bed residential, nursing, and dementia care facility in Haslemere, Surrey. As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, creating a warm and inviting environment for the residents.

Main duties of the job

As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance of the care home, ensuring that all areas meet the required standards of cleanliness and infection prevention control. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff, providing training, support, and supervision to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard. You will also be responsible for maintaining detailed records, reporting on the team's performance, and identifying areas for improvement. The role requires previous experience as a head housekeeper, preferably in a care home setting, and a strong commitment to providing a high-quality living environment for the residents.

About the role

• Full time - 37.5 hours per week - working on a rota basis to cover across 7 day period, alternate weekends required - bank holiday working is required also
• Previous experience as a head housekeeper required - care home housekeeper experience also may be considered
• £13.40 per hour
