Overview

Minehead Hospital boasts state of the art facilities in a fabulous rural location. We have 19 inpatient beds set out as single rooms and two four bed bays. Each room has an ensuite and overhead hoist system. All modern facilities. We have a specially designed room for end-of-life care. We offer rehabilitation and subacute medical intervention. We are situated on the coast in beautiful West Somerset, and we offer excellent staff facilities including a staff dining room with a South facing balcony, a large free staff car park and modern changing rooms.

Role

We are looking for a part-time Health Care Assistant with experience of working in a hospital environment to join this established team. Development and training within this role will be offered. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly, which includes nights and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high standards of nursing care with the patient at the centre of all you do, with support from the ward Sister.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-focused care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues; be assertive when appropriate.

  • Experience of working in a hospital environment.
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including nights and weekends.
