Job Description:

Handyman/Woman required for a large residential developer. ITS Building people are looking for an experienced and hardworking Handyman/Woman to assist our client with a project based in Hailsham, East Sussex. Own transport is preferred.

This contract will run Monday to Friday and there may be an option to work overtime.

Daily responsibilities will include:
  • Repairing snags and defects - Fixing minor issues such as scratches, dents, loose fittings, or misaligned doors after construction.
  • Performing paint and finishing touch-ups - Ensuring walls, trims, and surfaces are flawless before handover.
  • Installing and adjusting fixtures - Fitting hardware, shelves, doorstops, handles, and ensuring all fixtures work properly.
  • Preparing the property for final handover - Completing last-minute repairs, ensuring cleanliness, and confirming the home is ready for the new owner.
Requirements for the role
  • Experience on new build sites
  • Own Tools & transport
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.
Training/Progression opportunities

There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management.

Rates of Pay

Where a range of rate of pay is quoted the level of experience, qualifications & related training required is the minimum required in order to qualify for the lowest rate of pay quoted.
