We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology to join our expert team at The Harborne Hospital on a Bank Contract.

As a Bank Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their journey, from pre‑diagnosis through treatment and recovery. You will be a consistent point of contact, ensuring patients feel well‑supported as they navigate different parts of the hospital to receive optimal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical, educational, and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, and consultant pathologists.
  • Attend MDT meetings, share recommendations with consultants, and ensure continuity of care by linking with other healthcare professionals both within the hospital and in the community.
  • Offer support before, during, and after surgery, and cover clinics Monday to Friday.
  • Develop your expertise in Gynaecology management within a collaborative, forward‑thinking team, where your knowledge and compassion make a real difference every day.

The Harborne Hospital – part of HCA Healthcare UK – is a brand new £100 million, purpose‑built 50‑bed, multi‑specialty private hospital located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus. What You’ll Bring
  • NMC registration.
  • Extensive relevant post‑registration experience in Gynaecology.
  • Mentoring/Teaching experience.
  • Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations in the clinical context.
  • Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to Gynaecology.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in the clinical area (e.g., relevant short courses and study days).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Completed relevant postgraduate course (Level 6 or 7).
