Job summary

A community-focused organization in Tees Valley seeks a Growing Older Coordinator for a part-time fixed-term role. The candidate will support a program aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals aged 50+. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, fostering community connections, and influencing service delivery. Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills and a passion for working with older people, with community engagement experience preferred. Salary is £13,132 per annum.

Role

Growing Older Coordinator. This fixed-term contract runs until 28/02/2027 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

Responsibilities
  • Support the continued development and implementation of a 3-year programme to promote positive ageing experiences for people aged 50+ in the Redcar & Cleveland area.
  • Provide opportunities for community connection and signposting to local services.
  • Arrange social activities to connect people and empower both guests and volunteers to create a sustainable and supportive environment.
  • Work with people 50+ to influence service delivery and improve quality of life in Redcar & Cleveland.
  • Provide efficient co-ordination duties to Growing Older members, and work with external partners and the target client group.
Qualifications / Ideal profile
  • Great communication skills and a passion for working with older people.
  • Experience in a role that involves community engagement and signposting is beneficial.
