Job summary

A well-established Tour Operator in South Manchester is seeking a Group Travel Specialist to handle group bookings and manage complex itineraries. Ideal for candidates with strong group booking experience and knowledge of a GDS. This office-based role offers Monday-Friday hours and a half-day on Saturdays. Competitive salary starting from £26,000 DOE.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in group travel bookings, tour operations, or retail travel.
  • Experience with at least one GDS is preferred but not essential.
  • Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle group travel bookings for various clients and agents.

Location: South Manchester (Fully Office-Based)
Salary: From £26,000 DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday + Half-Day Saturdays (No Sundays)

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a well-established Tour Operator in South Manchester, seeking a Group Travel Specialist to join their busy team. This is a fully office-based role ideal for candidates with strong group booking experience and working knowledge of a GDS (Amadeus preferred, but others considered). Or if you are looking to further your travel career from a travel retail role, this could be for you!

Role Overview
  • Handling group travel bookings for various clients and agents
  • Creating and managing complex itineraries
  • Booking flights, accommodation, and other travel services using GDS
  • Negotiating group rates with suppliers and ensuring best value for clients
  • Providing high levels of customer service and post-booking support
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in either group travel bookings, tour operations or retail travel
  • Experience using at least one GDS (preferred but not essential)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator and team player
  • Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: Office hours
  • Saturday: Half-day rota
  • Sunday: Closed (every week)
