Newly created opportunity for a Group Sales Excellence Director to transform sales effectiveness at an international scale. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Sales Excellence Director to shape, lead, and embed best‑in‑class sales excellence across the global organisation. This role will be central to driving productivity, consistency, and continuous improvement in how they sell.

Excellent package, UK headquarters, Midlands / hybrid working plus travel.

Our client is a growing world‑leading manufacturer of B2B and B2C products with c700 employees across multiple sites in the UK, Europe and the US. With leading brands, innovative products, and a global footprint, they are committed to delivering sustainable solutions that protect public health and work in harmony with nature.

Sales Excellence Director – the role:
  • Define and execute sales excellence strategies, processes, and tools across the Group.
  • Build and lead a small sales excellence team to support regional delivery and capability.
  • Set up and embed systems and processes to monitor, track, and improve sales performance.
  • Lead the annual sales planning process, including territory design, quota setting, and resource allocation.
  • Drive adoption of CRM and sales tools, ensuring data quality and usability.
  • Deliver coaching, enablement, and training programmes to improve sales productivity and capability.
  • Partner with senior leadership, General Managers, and regional sales leaders to drive above‑market growth.
  • Champion best practice in new product launches, pipeline management, and digital/SaaS selling.
  • Act as a change agent, driving the adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working.
Experience to support your application:
  • A proven track record in both big‑company (FTSE100 or equivalent) and SME environments, with the ability to apply best practice in each.
  • Experience in building and leading sales teams.
  • Strong expertise in setting up sales systems and processes to drive performance.
  • Significant senior experience in sales leadership, operations, enablement, or strategy.
  • Strong commercial acumen and demonstrable success in driving sales growth.
  • In‑depth knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365), and performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills across multiple functions and cultures.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results in dynamic, global environments.
