A leading furniture retail group in the UK is seeking a qualified Solicitor to manage property legal transactions. This part-time hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal departments across the UK and Ireland, ensuring legal rigor in various property matters. This is a part time 4 days a week, fixed term 12-13 months hybrid role based at our Doncaster Group Support Centre, with 2-3 days a week onsite.
Reporting to the Group Head of Legal Property & Insurance, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Group Property Team across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with internal departments and external consultants, you’ll manage and oversee a wide range of property legal transactions for approximately 200 Group sites, spanning retail, manufacturing, and distribution.
In this role, you’ll:
Acquisitions: Negotiating and completing conditional Agreements for Lease, Leases, and Licences to Alter. Managing title reviews, searches, enquiries, due diligence, and preparing reports and summaries.
Disposals: Drafting and agreeing Deeds of Surrender, serving break notices, and providing advice on the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
Lease Renewals & Re-gears: Reviewing and negotiating heads of terms, and preparing Deeds of Variation, Reversionary Leases, and related documents.
SDLT & Land Registry: Managing all necessary submissions and application efficiently and accurately.
General Advisory Work: Providing clear, pragmatic legal advice and support on all aspects of property transactions and day-to-day property queries.

A commercially minded approach, with the ability to balance legal rigour and business priorities.
Robust legal knowledge and practical experience in property transactions.
Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify key insights and provide clear, best‑practice advice.
Proven experience managing a broad range of property legal matters.
Education: LLB degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC).
Professional: Qualified Solicitor with strong expertise in property law.
