About the position

Chandlers Ford | Hybrid working | £100,000 - £110,000 + Car + Bonus + Benefits | FTC. We are representing a market-leading engineering and environmental group seeking to appoint an experienced Group Marketing Director on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover.

This senior role will take full ownership of a major brand transformation while ensuring strong leadership and continuity across the group's marketing function. A highly visible position that combines strategic brand rollout, team leadership, and senior stakeholder engagement.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the rollout of a new brand identity across all group companies, ensuring consistency and integration
  • Manage stakeholder communications, brand training, and internal engagement initiatives at senior and board level
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the UK marketing team, supporting their development and ensuring continuity of campaigns, events, and digital activity
  • Oversee all brand assets, marketing collateral, websites, and digital platforms to ensure they reflect the new group identity
  • Maintain ownership of marketing budgets, tracking spend, ROI, and project delivery costs
  • Drive external communications, including media relations, PR, and crisis communications where required
  • Lead the planning and execution of sector-specific campaigns, trade shows, and key events in line with brand and commercial goals
  • Ensure internal communications promote engagement, consistency of tone, and brand advocacy across the workforce
  • The successful candidate will oversee the execution of a new group identity across multiple business units, ensuring the brand is embedded consistently for internal and external audiences.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally at director level
  • Strong track record in brand management and rollout across multi-site or group organisations
  • Demonstrable line management experience with responsibility for developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills - comfortable influencing at board and executive level
  • Commercially astute with strong budget management capability
  • Expertise in digital marketing, campaigns, and corporate communications
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field desirable; CIM or equivalent preferred but not essential
  • Must be based within a commutable distance (max one hour) of Chandlers Ford
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to UK branches and occasional international locations
Summary

Position: Group Marketing Director (Interim - Maternity Cover)

Duration: 9 -12 Months Fixed term (Maternity cover)

Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + Car + Bonus + Benefits (LTD/ Umbrella also available)
