  • Provide one-to-one support to review goals, offer personalised guidance, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Build genuine, non-judgemental relationships with participants to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Manage a caseload of participants, balancing group delivery with individual support and administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain high-quality records of all interactions and progress using internal IT systems.
  • Monitor participant progress through clear objectives, ongoing engagement, and follow-up actions.
  • Work in line with the Health & Safety at Work Act and GC’s Health & Safety Policy.
About You

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and motivate participants.
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding principles and how to respond to potential risks (training provided).
  • Confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate records to support effective case management.
  • Experience working with offenders or marginalised groups, particularly in justice, training, or counselling settings.
  • Comfortable working in target-driven environments with clear performance expectations.
  • Insight into the challenges of rehabilitation and the barriers individuals face in custody.
  • Familiarity with prison environments and the structure, culture, and safeguarding considerations involved.
Skills Required
  • Ability to create a professional yet approachable presence, building rapport quickly with participants.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to balance group facilitation, one-to-one support, and admin tasks.
  • Confident in using IT systems to record and manage participant data.
  • Knowledge of local and national training, education, and employment pathways that support rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a complex, high-pressure environment.
  • Values-driven approach, demonstrating GC’s core values: Make a Positive Difference, Stronger Together, Empower People, Do the Right Thing, and Build on Success.
