This newly created role within our expanding global finance team offers an exceptional opportunity for a nearly or newly qualified accountant to grow alongside the business. You will play a hands-on role in driving change and transition, establishing processes, and preparing for significant growth as the company is forecast to double in size next year.

With four entities and a primary function in the UK, this position provides exposure to international accounting, internal controls, and collaboration with third-party providers. As Group Accountant, you will take ownership of consolidated financial statements across all entities, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and deliver accurate, timely reporting to support strategic decision-making.

You will also lead initiatives to optimize our newly implemented ERP system (Business Central), establish SOPs, and build scalable processes for sustainable growth. This role provides excellent exposure to all aspects of finance, with the opportunity to drive continuous improvement and take on project work where the business requires.

This role may require occasional travel to subsidiary locations and offers excellent opportunities for career progression within the finance function.

Your activities will include:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the group.
  • Establish and maintain the sales commission scheme.
  • Manage outsourced finance functions.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
  • Support the AP/AR functions.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Project work as required.
Requirements
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) - nearly or newly qualified considered.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group accounting or consolidation roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft suite and ERP systems (e.g., Business Central).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
