Graduate Town Planner - Leeds (Harewood)

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing a highly respected and forward-thinking developer in their search for a Graduate Town Planner to join their growing planning team, based at their Harewood, Leeds office.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documents.
  • Carrying out research and planning appraisals.
  • Supporting appeals and inquiries.
  • Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and members of the public.
  • Monitoring and reviewing planning policy changes relevant to ongoing and future projects.
About You

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic planner who is looking to develop their career in consultancy. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An RTPI-accredited degree or master’s qualification in Town Planning.
  • Some relevant experience (e.g. through a placement year, internship, or post-graduation role).
  • Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • A genuine interest in the planning and development process, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • A commitment to working towards RTPI chartership (full support will be provided).
