Are you a recent graduate of Psychology/Speech & Language Therapy/Social Care or similar (2:1 or above)?

As a graduate learning support assistant, your responsibilities include supporting SEN students with learning difficulties or disabilities. You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to provide individualized support to help students reach their full potential.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The role

  • Up to £650 per week
  • Support students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, aiding their education and personal development.
  • Assist students in developing life skills and preparing for transition into adulthood, independent living, and community engagement.
  • Support speech and communication needs by working with therapists and psychologists to implement tailored strategies.
  • Provide emotional support and create a safe, structured environment where students feel valued.
  • Assist students requiring physical and medical support, including those in wheelchairs or hospital beds.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • A degree of 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Health & Social Care, Education, or related fields.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEN and additional needs.
  • High resilience, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience in support, mentoring, SEN education, or mental health work is desirable.
  • A driving license and access to a car are advantageous but not essential.
