Graduate Civil Engineer - Rail (Birmingham). Join the Jacobs Graduate Development Programme (GDP) to have a meaningful, positive impact on environments, communities and societies. The successful candidate will join Jacobs\' Rail Civils team and support the delivery of exciting projects in the transportation sector, particularly within the guided transport systems built environment. Training is provided under a structured mentorship framework to support professional development towards attaining a professional engineering body qualification. The programme may include discrete periods of discipline/team rotation to broaden technical knowledge, problem solving, commercial acumen and communication skills. You will be exposed to stages of scheme development from initial concept through to construction. The start date for this role is September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects by contributing to the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, structural designs and assessments and other technical deliverables.
• Work within the Rail Civils team to assist on projects across the transportation sector, with on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Collaborate across disciplines to develop understanding of multi-disciplinary principles and broaden technical knowledge base.
