As a Graduate Bid Manager, you will be working in Stantec’s marketing services team comprising bid managers, marketing professionals, and graphic designers in Warrington. You will provide full bid management and production capability for Stantec’s Water and Energy & Resources businesses in the UK, working on bids for projects ranging from large, complex water treatment works and hydroelectric power schemes to data analytics for smart water networks and business transformation projects.

Our busy water & energy resources marketing services team plays a key role within Stantec’s business. We help win the work that keeps our engineers, scientists, and project managers busy, and you will be involved in helping the business meet its targets and growth ambitions. If this sounds like something that appeals to you, then look no further than Stantec.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a range of procurement portals to facilitate access to client invitation for proposal documents.
  • Arranging and facilitating go/no-go calls, kick-off calls, and progress calls with the bid team.
  • Providing the contact point and facilitating communication between the client’s procurement team and our bid team.
  • Managing the development of bid documents, including elements of writing and development of responses based on existing collateral.
  • Working with technical specialists to complete responses to technical questions.
  • Working with commercial managers and the legal team to complete commercial and contractual submissions.
  • Liaising with resource managers and project managers to identify resources.
  • Collaborating with graphic designers to develop graphics, presentations, and documents.
  • Proofreading, editing, and formatting bid documents and CVs.
  • Ensuring bid submissions are compliant, customer-focused, easy to evaluate, and delivered within set deadlines.
About You

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a degree and/or master’s qualification in Business Management, Marketing, or a relevant discipline, and a keen interest in our industry, we’d love to receive your application if you have:

  • Excellent time management, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • An excellent level of written English.
  • The ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a wide variety of professionals from a range of disciplines at various levels of the business.
  • The ability to manage a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Calmness while working under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach.
Work Arrangements

Please note: we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week to ensure that colleagues are able to provide the appropriate level of support.

What We Can Offer You
  • A competitive salary.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • A range of benefits, including holiday buy and sell, group income protection, and life assurance.
  • Permanent employment contract to demonstrate our commitment to your long-term career at Stantec.
  • Professional progression plan, supporting you to become chartered with ICE.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment and Early Careers peer group and wider ERG network.
