Copsewood Medical Centre is looking for anindividual with a good knowledge of Windows/IT skills, be able to navigatecomputer systems and be forward thinking. The Practice uses EMIS medicalsystem, Accrux, Docman, etc.

Experience is desirable andtraining will be given and monitored.

Working Hours 1.00 to 6.30pm and Monday to Friday(27.5 hours)

(Additional hours to help with emergency/holidaycover when required)

Main duties of the job

Looking for someone who can work in a busyenvironment, greet & welcome patients in a friendly manner either f2f or on the telephone and be able to carry out various receptionadministrative duties.Offergeneral assistance and make appropriate appointments by directing andnavigating patients by accessing the most suitable service for their healthcarein a professional, effective and friendly manner.Give information to patients including test resultsand details of services.Communicate effectively with patients and allmembers of the Practice Team.

Be very organised and detailed oriented and resolvedaily matters with a positive workload. Dealwith requests and queries from patients and other providers by f2f, telephone and online. Ensure Practicestandards are maintained and monitored to improve the quality of total care toall who encounter the services provided by the Practice. You may be asked by Clinicians to chaperone occasionally, training will be given for this.Data checkingpatients address, telephone numbers/emails/etc are all in order and update records.Deal withpatients who wish to register with the Practice f2f & on-line andTemporary Residents. Process repeat prescriptions. Photocopy, scan medical letters & reports. Ensurebuilding security including opening/closing premises. Candidates to beflexible in their working pattern, multi-tasking, friendly and be a team player.

We are a small friendly Practice withapproximately 5500 patients, and we are also a training practice for GPRegistrars. There are 3 Doctors workingat the Practice, 4 GP Registrars, 2 Practice Nurses, GPA, Paramedic, ClinicalPharmacist and a Physio as well as the Admin Team.

Experience
  • Windows and Microsoft applications are essential for the role.
  • Have an excellent telephone manner with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and be able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong and competent typing skills and checking data.
  • Be able to work in a Team. Be willing to undertake regular training and adapt to nhs changes. Show a positive attitude and be willing to help everyone.
  • Previous experience of working in a GP Practice or nhs environment would be desirable. Full training would be given to right candidate.
