Qualifications

  • Strong communicator with knowledge of loading procedures.
  • Desirable experience in timber frame manufacturing or loading large parts.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety processes.
  • FLT licence for forklift operations is desirable.
  • Ability to implement improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Control vehicle movements with the Yard Supervisor.
  • Liaise with suppliers for safe vehicle loading.
  • Coordinate finished goods storage and maintain stock.
  • Prepare outbound load paperwork for despatch.
  • Ensure timely deliveries within D365.
  • Work with production for effective labelling and storage.
  • Check offsite storage and maintain D365 records.
  • Process additional material requests promptly.
  • Support month-end and stocktake activities.
  • Assist during busier periods and accept managerial tasks.

Job description

We are looking for an Outbound Co-ordinator to support the day-to-day activities of our despatch team. The role is based at a permanent factory location, fixed shift and hours, with the possibility of overtime. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Outbound deliveries of goods and services are correctly administrated, maintaining prompt and accurate communications with Haulage service providers and the transport planning team and prioritising all company procedures and safety standards. Beyond day-to-day Co-ordination, you will play a key role in driving process improvements, identifying ways to enhance efficiency, safety, and organisation. Responsibilities
  • Working with the Yard Supervisor to control all vehicle movements within the designated areas.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure that vehicles are loaded safely and efficiently.
  • Co-ordinating Finished goods storage locations, carrying out cycle counts and maintaining the finished goods stock within D365.
  • Preparing outbound load paperwork and ensuring that loads are complete prior to despatch.
  • Ensuring all deliveries are shipped within D365 within 24hrs of despatch.
  • Working with production to ensure all product is effectively labelled and stored in the appropriate locations.
  • Coordinating offsite storage locations and records. Carrying out regular checks of finished goods stored offsite, whilst maintaining D365 stock records.
  • Working with Material Control and picking to ensure all additional material requests are processed, picked and despatched in a timely fashion.
  • Supporting Month End and Stocktake activities: co-ordinating the Finished Goods Stock Counts.
  • You will be flexible and willing to assist in busier periods where necessary, taking a hands-on role to ensure that deliveries are processed in a timely manner.
  • You will be required to carry out any reasonable tasks or operations as directed by your line manager in the course of your duties.
Qualifications
  • You will be a strong communicator, with a strong understanding of loading procedures, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Previous experience in timber frame manufacturing is desirable, but we will consider candidates with experience in loading large parts from similar industries.
  • You will have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety and the requisite processes and procedures, with the safety and wellbeing of our people being our key priority.
  • FLT licence (for forklift operations) desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to identify, communicate and implement opportunities for continuously improving working methods.
