Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to define and lead the global marketing strategy for Medscape Education across the US and international markets. This is a senior, high‑visibility role that combines strategic vision with hands‑on leadership. You will have the mandate to build and scale a global marketing organization that strengthens our value proposition, enhances our positioning with pharma and biotech clients, and accelerates growth across the therapeutic areas and geographies. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a growing team of marketing professionals in the US and UK.
  • Set the strategic direction and oversee execution of integrated marketing programs.
Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and own the global marketing plan (US and E‑US), aligning to commercial goals and evolving pharma/biotech market needs.
  • Shape Medscape Education’s go‑to‑market strategy, brand positioning, and client‑facing messaging.
Partnership & Collaboration
  • Partner with senior commercial leaders to translate therapeutic area priorities and client needs into impactful marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with product, content, and partnership teams to drive market differentiation.
Brand & Market Presence
  • Lead the development of high‑quality messaging, campaigns, and thought leadership that articulate Medscape’s value to global pharma and med‑comm partners.
  • Oversee our presence at key industry events, channels, and forums to reinforce market leadership.
Innovation & Optimization
  • Introduce new tools, processes, and approaches to enhance efficiency, measurement, and impact.
  • Bring a forward‑thinking perspective on how Medscape Education engages pharma clients globally.
What We’re Looking For
Industry Expertise
  • Deep experience marketing to pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical education audiences. Understanding of medical affairs is highly advantageous.
Leadership Experience
  • 10+ years in senior B2B healthcare/pharma marketing roles, including several years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling global marketing teams and functions.
Strategic & Commercial Acumen
  • Strong track record partnering with commercial organizations to shape strategy and drive revenue growth.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver integrated marketing plans that achieve measurable outcomes.
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and clients confidently.
  • Adept at balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Experience managing budgets, planning cycles, and global initiatives in matrixed organizations.
