Overview

Job Title: Global Commercial Director (Generators)

Location: Belfast or Larne

Salary/Grade: £80,125 – £100,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Benefits: Up to 31% bonus; Car allowance £620 per calendar month; 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays; Contributory pension scheme (Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 6%); Contributory share scheme (Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution); Optional flexible benefits including access to health and dental care plans, EV car lease, holiday purchase.

This position requires working 5 days a week in the office.

The Opportunity

FG Wilson generator sets have been trusted to provide essential power to a wide range of applications globally for over 50 years. From 6.8 to 2,500 kVA, FG Wilson offers a broad range of diesel-fueled generator sets built in modern facilities in Brazil, China and India. We are seeking FG Wilson Global Commercial Director to lead a EUR 300 M P&L with 70+ employees globally, delivering double-digit growth in top and bottom line. The Global Commercial Director will report to the Caterpillar EPD Vice President.

What you will do
  • Own end-to-end commercial P&L of FG Wilson.
  • Ensure double-digit growth on top and bottom line.
  • Lead an organization of 70+ employees globally including sales, service, marketing, product management, product support and other business functions.
  • Establish and nurture executive relationships with key customers.
  • Deliver on assigned financial and non-financial targets.
  • Establish and execute FGW Commercial Strategy 2030.
  • Coach and develop key talents within FGW organization.
What you have

Industry Knowledge - Level Extensive Experience:

  • Good knowledge of the distributed power generation market.
  • Technical understanding of diesel genset / recipe (up to 2.5 MWe) will be considered an advantage.

Business Development – Level Extensive Experience:

  • Ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.
  • Develop strategies to present new business ideas to small and large prospective business partners.
  • Analyzes alternative business development approaches and strategies.
  • Designs common and industry-specific benchmarks for business development.

Relationship Management - Level Extensive Experience:

  • Experience with leading medium to large global teams.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Maintains productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors.
