A property consultancy in the UK is seeking a GIS Technician to produce high-quality plans in GIS and support the team in land acquisition documentation. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geography and experience with ArcGIS software. This role offers a hybrid working culture, a competitive remuneration package, and development opportunities including flexible working patterns.
The Gateley Hamer team is recruiting a GIS Technician to be based in our Guildford office. Gateley is embracing a hybrid working culture, with a mix of home and office working available. The role focuses on producing high quality plans in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or Computer Aided Design (CAD) as required, and supporting the GIS Team to deliver documents for Site Identification, Compulsory Purchase and Land Acquisition.
There are opportunities to assist in developing an integrated online GIS and land referencing database system, review existing workflows, and develop new workflows, particularly in ArcGIS Pro.
The Gateley Hamer team is a property consultancy that helps clients extract value from development assets with expertise in CPOs, easements and wayleaves, infrastructure projects, land referencing and public inquiries. We operate across the public and private sectors, working with developers, planning professionals, local authorities and scheme promoters.
GIS supports understanding a site’s needs and informs essential planning decisions. Our growing GIS team uses industry‑leading ArcGIS software within a bespoke property research system to tailor data interpretation, visualization and dissemination to client needs. We combine analytics with cartographic principles to provide high‑quality evidencing of land ownership boundaries for referencing activities and to support various projects.
The role requires a proactive and collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team and client-facing environments.
Gateley is a forward-thinking legal and professional services group with a focus on solutions for clients. We offer development opportunities, a competitive remuneration package with potential annual bonus, and a range of benefits via our Learn platform and My Flex package (annual leave, pension, health care, cycle to work, and more). We also provide a range of wellbeing and diversity initiatives and recognition through Gateley Team Spirit awards. We are committed to diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and have been recognised as a gold standard for our Diversity and Inclusion Charter and as Stonewall Diversity Champions.
We provide flexible working patterns to help achieve work/life balance and welcome applications from candidates seeking flexibility in their next role.
