The East Regions Planning and Programming team collaborate with other functions and specialists to design the forests of the future, protect and restore semi-natural habitats, respond to climate change and enhance our landscapes. Our GIS Technicians maintain and enhance our database while providing essential GIS support to a range of colleagues.
Working alongside other GIS technicians, this role contributes to improving our data, systems and ensuring accurate spatial planning. The postholder will collaborate closely with the Programme Manager, delivering critical insights to support the development of timber harvesting, woodland creation , civil engineering, environmental, and survey programmes.
To be successful in this role you will have experience and knowledge of relevant forest operations, forest management or land management be a competent user of Geographical Information Systems
