Job description

A lovely family based in Hertfordshire is seeking a caring and reliable Part‑Time Live‑out Nanny to support their toddler. The ideal candidate must speak German and be passionate about helping develop the child’s language skills through play, communication, and daily interaction.

The role is highly flexible, with the family open to offering up to 3 days per week, on weekdays or weekends, depending on the candidate’s availability. Hours are also flexible and can be discussed. Additional housekeeping can be offered if the candidate wishes to increase their weekly hours.

A driver would be a bonus, and the family has a very sweet miniature Labradoodle—dog walking is a bonus but not required. A valid first‑aid qualification is a must.

Working hours: Flexible days, can offer up to 3 days. During the week or weekends.

Duties Include:
  • Supporting and encouraging the child’s German language development
  • Engaging the child in interactive play, creative and educational activities
  • Taking the child on outdoor outings such as park visits
  • Reading books and supporting early literacy development
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines
  • Keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks
