Job Title: Geotechnical Design Engineer

Location: York

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

A new opportunity has opened for a Geotechnical Design Engineer in York.

You will have the chance to join a talented multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy specialising in geotechnical and environmental engineering.

The successful Geotechnical Design Engineer will be working on a wide range of infrastructure and development projects, undertaking both office-based geotechnical design and site-based support work.

Responsibilities
  • Geotechnical design and analysis
  • Ground investigation design and supervision
  • Slope stability assessments and reporting
  • Retaining wall design (temporary and permanent works)
  • Phase 1 desk studies and interpretative reports
  • Geotechnical risk assessments
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams

You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, review their work, and share technical expertise, while continuing to develop your own skills through close collaboration with senior and principal engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience within geotechnical design and ground investigations
