Salary: £27,000 - £34,000

A well-established UK consultancy providing geo-environmental, geotechnical and land-stability services to developers, contractors, local authorities and design teams are seeking an experienced geophysicist to join the team. The company offers practical, cost-effective solutions across contaminated land, ground investigation, mining-risk assessment, remediation and validation.

The Geophysicist Role
  • Planning and delivering ground investigations, geotechnical monitoring and site assessments
  • Conducting soil and ground characterisation, infiltration/permeability testing, slope stability checks and exploratory probing
  • Carrying out contaminated-land and mining-risk assessments, and contributing to remediation strategies
  • Preparing clear, high-quality technical reports
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators to provide practical, commercially focused solutions
Key Qualifications
  • A degree in geology, geophysics, geotechnical engineering, environmental science or similar
  • Practical experience in field investigation, logging, sampling, or geophysical/geo-environmental assessment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret ground conditions confidently
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Live in or near to Glasgow
