The Geophysicist’s role at Zetica requires active involvement at every stage of a project, from initial planning and site works to reporting. Emphasis is placed on quality and customer service. Zetica is seeking geophysicists with a minimum of two years’ experience.

Working as part of a team, the Geophysicist must communicate effectively and professionally with customers, the public, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

The typical roles for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. The role may also involve special and research projects that present additional challenges:

  • Preparing projects based on customer requirements, assessing and selecting effective techniques prior to site work, focusing on quality, customer service, budget, and schedule.
  • Collecting high-quality data with reliability and accuracy across techniques such as electromagnetics, magnetics, radio frequency location, GPR, seismics, ERI, and utility services detection.
  • Caring for equipment on site.
  • Managing data quality in accordance with Zetica’s QC procedures.
  • Using specialized geophysical software and drawing tools (e.g., AutoCAD 2015, Oasis Montaj, RES2DINV, Radan, IDS-GRED) to QC, process, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Under supervision, guidance, and approval, undertaking all phases of reporting—from factual data to interpretation and recommendations—with a focus on customer needs and quality.
  • Participating in employee development through training, gaining experience, and pursuing further learning to expand capabilities beyond core competencies.
  • Adhering to and promoting the company’s health, safety, environmental, and quality policies in all project aspects.
  • Identifying new ways of working to enhance technical processes or improve efficiency on-site and in the office.
  • Gaining extensive experience in various techniques, enabling involvement in more complex projects as competencies develop.
  • Demonstrating dedication and a proactive approach to providing high-quality service, including working extra hours if necessary to meet deadlines.
