Job Title: Geography Teacher

Salary: Up to £1,100 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

Are you a Geography Teacher looking for a rewarding role in Barnsley?
GSL Education are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to work in secondary schools across the area. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support academic progress, and make a real impact on students’ learning.

About the Role:
You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5 opportunities depending on the school). The role focuses on high-quality lesson delivery, effective classroom management, and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Create and maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil outcomes
Job Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Geography
  • Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
