Job summary

  • Salary: MPS1 – MPS6 (pro‑rated for supply)

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Geography Teacher to join a well‑regarded secondary school in Wolverhampton. You will plan and deliver high‑quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students explore physical and human geography, global issues, and map‑based skills. You’ll be shaping students’ understanding of the world, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering curiosity about our planet.

The Candidate

You’ll be a qualified teacher (QTS) or an ECT, with good subject knowledge in Geography and confidence using a variety of teaching methods to support different learners. A positive attitude, strong classroom management and the ability to engage mixed‑ability groups are essential. Enthusiasm for fieldwork, topical issues (e.g. climate, sustainability) or enrichment would be desirable but not essential.

The Geography department values high‑quality teaching, student engagement, and offers a collaborative, inclusive working culture. As a supply teacher, you’ll join a friendly, professional staff and contribute to important learning journeys.
