SALARY: 65k basic, 100k OTE + car + great benefits
New exciting opportunity for a General Sales Manager / GSM to join our client’s dealer in Middlesex. You need to be driven and ambitious with proven success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Sales Executives within your team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organisation and its current and prospective markets.
- Provide guidance to Sales Executives during negotiation processes, assisting in finalising agreements and closing sales.
- Collect and analyse market and customer data to identify opportunities and trends.
- Collaborate with other managers to negotiate variations in pricing, delivery timelines, and product specifications.
- Offer insights on upcoming product developments and coordinate special promotional initiatives.
- Monitor stock levels and product displays, providing advice to Sales Executives to ensure effective inventory management.
- Maintain close communication with the production team to monitor vehicle progress and act as a key contact throughout the process.
- Regularly evaluate personal sales performance, striving to meet or surpass established targets.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and their specific requirements to offer tailored solutions.
- Facilitate the ongoing training and professional growth of Sales Executives within the team.
- Conduct routine performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and encourage continuous improvement.

- Proven ability to identify and execute key success factors that drive business growth, profitability, cost efficiency, and high levels of employee and customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience within a management role in the automotive sector.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on fostering customer satisfaction and building loyalty.
- A hands-on approach to leadership, paired with financial acumen.
- Exceptional negotiation skills across various levels of the organisation.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for outstanding customer service.
