We have a fantastic opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at HMP Leicester, a category B remand prison close to Leicester town centre and train station. The prison houses around 408 male patients, mostly aged between 18-40 years.

HMP Leicester runs a nurse-led service. You will work with an experienced, supportive multidisciplinary team, including a substance misuse specialist NMP. Your role will focus on supporting patients with substance misuse and acute needs. The suitable applicant must have experience and feel confident prescribing controlled substances.

Hours

Tuesday - 16:30 - 20:30

Thursday - 16:30 - 20:30

Friday - 8:30 - 20:30

Saturday - 14:00 - 18:00

We are also open to considering this as a job share.

Salary

This position is part-time, working 24 hours per week, with an annual salary of up to £125,000 depending on experience.
