This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel ready to step into a General Counsel position. It is a fully office-based role located in the Heathrow Airport Area (5 days a week).

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide accurate and timely legal counsel to executives on various topics (commercial agreements, dispute resolution, corporate finance, and commercial law).
  2. Manage complex legal transactions from a project perspective, ensuring stakeholder and specialist input.
  3. Lead risk management strategies within the company.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  5. Handle Company Secretarial duties.
  6. Draft and review agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
  7. Manage external counsel and consultants to ensure value for money.
  8. Clarify legal language and specifications for company staff.
  9. Stay updated on legislative changes and developments.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified UK solicitor with at least 10 years PQE (considering other PQE levels and qualified lawyers from other common law jurisdictions eligible for QLT).
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, including corporate finance, dispute resolution, and contracts.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented approach.
  • Commercially pragmatic outlook.
  • Experience with reputable law firms or in-house legal departments.
  • Proven track record as legal counsel in fast-paced environments.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Good judgment and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Approximately 8 years of experience in a small to medium law firm before transitioning to business.
