Job summary

A high-performing private credit firm in the United Kingdom is looking for a Fund Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will support various finance and accounting activities for private credit funds, oversee financial statement reviews, and collaborate with internal teams. This role requires a qualified accountant with prior experience in fund accounting, particularly in private credit or private equity. Strong MS Office skills and excellent communication abilities are essential.

About our client

We are working with an innovative and high-performing private credit firm that is seeking to add a Fund Accountant to its finance team. Joining a lean and collaborative group, you will take on broad responsibilities across the day to day finance, portfolio management and accounting activities for a range of private credit funds. What the job involves
  • Support the day to day finance and accounting activities across a range of closed end private credit funds
  • Review work prepared by fund administrators, providing guidance and feedback as required
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Prepare and review quarterly portfolio level performance metrics in collaboration with deal teams
  • Maintain liquidity analysis, including oversight of leverage facilities to ensure sufficient cash for funding needs, distributions, and other activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams to respond to investor inquiries and information requests
  • Support the setup and ongoing administration of new funds and separately managed accounts
  • Assist with investment funding processes and all associated capital activity, including capital calls and distributions
  • Prepare reporting packages for clients, portfolio teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in coordinating and completing year end audits
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives as required
Who we are looking for
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience in a private markets fund accounting role
  • Experience with private credit is preferred and exposure to private equity
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities
