Qualifications

Functional Skills Tutor - English & Employability

Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri.

Location : Walsall (Bloxwich)

£24,000 - £28,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

Are you a Functional Skills Tutor looking for a new role?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor. As a Functional Skills Tutor you will be supporting students to achieve their functional skills qualifications in both English and Employability up to Level 2. We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor who can motivate, engage and inspire our learners to achieve their full potential whilst on our programme.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Delivery of Functional Skills English & Employability, up to Level 2.
  • Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
  • Achieve company KPI’s and Individual Performance Plan
  • Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals
  • Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
  • Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
Requirements :
  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills English & Employability to Level 2
  • A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
  • Full Teaching Qualifications I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS
  • Passion & desire to teach
  • Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary.
