Salary: £35,447.96–£43,717.78 (qualified); £27,906.66–£29,035.02 (unqualified)

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well regarded college in Derbyshire for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high quality learning and support to further education students. This is a permanent, full time opportunity based at the college's Eckington site.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Functional Skills sessions in Mathematics, English and ICT.
  • Plan sessions that support progression, achievement and independent learning.
  • Assess learner needs and provide feedback to help students develop confidence and competence.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and programme improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching teams to support learner success and retention.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in quality assurance and course reviews.
What you need

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire students from diverse backgrounds. You should have strong subject knowledge in Functional Skills and a commitment to inclusive practices. Previous FE experience is desirable but not essential.
