Staff Engineer / Principal Engineer / Full Stack Engineer

• Day rate : £550–£600 / day (Outside IR35)
• Remote Working (UK)
• Contract : 6 months (likely extension)

The Role

You will join a new innovation function that operates as the technical strikeforce for exploring emerging technologies, validating new product concepts and building rapid prototypes that influence long‑term product direction.

In this hands‑on role, you will experiment, iterate quickly, and design proofs‑of‑concept that demonstrate what’s possible with modern engineering and AI. You will work autonomously, own initiatives end‑to‑end, and thrive in problem spaces that aren’t fully defined yet.

What They’re Looking For (Non‑Negotiables)

• TypeScript (strong commercial experience)
• React or similar modern frontend framework
• Backend engineering skills with Node.js / TypeScript
• Strong SQL skills & RDBMS experience (SQL Server preferred)
• ORM experience (Prisma, Sequelize, TypeORM, or similar)
• Full‑stack ability across frontend, backend, and data workflows

What You’ll Work With

• TypeScript backend services and internal tools
• React frontends powering prototype and product experiences
• SQL Server for structured datasets and insights‑rich workflows
• Azure‑native services across compute, storage, and data pipelines
• Rapid prototyping frameworks and experimental tooling
• AI‑driven product concepts (LLMs, automation, data intelligence)
• Working closely with engineering squads to transition validated prototypes into production

Bonus Experience

• Python and FastAPI exposure
• Experience with cloud‑based data architecture in Azure
• Dashboarding or data‑heavy UI experience

• Experience working with complex insights‑driven datasets
