As a Front End Developer, you will lead in the development, configuration, testing, and management of code across three key brands and platforms. You should be comfortable engaging directly with internal stakeholders and passionate about maintaining a great customer journey.

At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means attending our offices, visiting clients, or industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Designing and delivering customer-ready screens and designs that meet requirements.
  • Optimizing websites for performance and load times to handle increasing traffic.
  • Testing and debugging regularly to fix issues proactively.
  • Collaborating with backend developers to ensure effective integration.
  • Maintaining consistent design, coding standards, and testing processes.
  • Supporting post-implementation improvements and optimizations.
  • Managing and improving our codebase proactively.
What you’ll bring:
  • Experience with React and jQuery is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools.
  • Experience with MS Azure DevOps and managing backlogs.
  • Interest in web accessibility and testing techniques.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills at all levels.
  • Understanding of industry trends, especially accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with practical solutions.

Eligibility and authorization to work in the UK are required for this role.

What we offer:

Our rewards package includes:

  • Competitive salary up to £48,000 depending on experience.
  • Annual performance-based bonus.
  • Contributory pension scheme (up to 12%).
