Are you passionate about languages and culture, with the drive to inspire young people to achieve in French? A welcoming secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Teacher of French to join their successful MFL department.

French is a popular subject within the school, with strong uptake at GCSE and a growing interest at A-Level. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, creative lessons that build both linguistic confidence and cultural awareness.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Teaching French across KS3–KS5 (GCSE and A-Level experience desirable).

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

  • Supporting students in exam preparation, coursework, and progression to higher levels of study.

  • Contributing to the development of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.

  • Taking part in cultural and enrichment activities such as trips, language clubs, or exchange programmes.
