Overview

FRENCH SPEAKING LOGISTICS OPERATOR. Based in Birmingham/Oldbury (B68). Salary £30,000 to £32,000. Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm (flexibility). 6-10 month temporary contract (possible permanent opportunity).

Responsibilities

• Working with French speaking customers and suppliers
• Arrange collections and deliveries across UK to high end customers and retailers
• Booking deliveries
• Update Transport systems with bookings and shipment status
• Complete general transport administration
• Responding to French customers and suppliers via telephone and email
• Liaising with 3rd party hauliers, drivers, internal and external departments
• Tracing and tracking and pre-advising delivery schedules
• Taking transport enquiries

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience in Logistics, Road haulage, UK Transport, Distribution industry
• Previous transport operational knowledge including route planning
• French language skills would be an advantage but not essential

Contract details

The role is initially a 6–10 month temporary contract, though it could become permanent for the right candidate. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am–6pm, with possible flexibility (e.g., 9-5 or 10-6).
