Freight Supervisor Job Overview

They are looking for an experienced and proactive Freight Supervisor to join their operations team. This is a varied role covering air, sea and road freight, with responsibility for quotations, customs entries, and customer support. As they continue their expansion into worldwide markets, a good understanding of international freight and customs processes — ideally with experience in US imports — will be highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily freight forwarding operations across air exports, air imports, sea exports, sea imports, and road exports
• Liaise with carriers, hauliers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment flows
• Complete customs entries (CDS) and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Prepare competitive quotations and costings across global routes
• Monitor shipments and resolve any operational issues
• Act as a key contact for clients, providing updates and resolving queries
• Deliver a high level of customer service across all accounts
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient end-to-end service
• Ensure all shipments comply with customs and international trade regulations
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
• Contribute to SOPs, process improvements and staff development

Freight Supervisor Salary & Benefits

• Salary of £35,000-£40,000 DOE

Freight Supervisor Job Requirements
