FP&A Manager | Canterbury, Hybrid | £65k

Cobb & Jones Recruitment are supporting a local education provider with their search for a new FP&A Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a first‑class financial advisory service across the organisation, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Group and Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the production of all budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Deliver high‑quality financial advice and guidance to operational staff and the different business units.
  • Oversee monthly management accounts and ensure precise ledger postings.
  • Line‑manage Finance Business Partners, Systems Accountant, and Management Accounts Assistant.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Develop and implement training for budget holders on financial systems and policies.
Profile
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years post‑qualified experience.
  • Proven experience managing finance teams and producing management accounts for organisations with income over £10m.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced IT proficiency (Excel, MS Office, accounting systems).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proactive, innovative problem solver with strong time‑management skills.
