Parent and Child Foster Carer

Do you have a spare bedroom in your home and a genuine desire to make a difference for a parent and their young baby or toddler?

At Rees Fostering, we are looking for caring, patient and resilient people to provide a safe and nurturing home environment for parents who need extra guidance and support to build their confidence and parenting skills.

If you have experience working with families perhaps as a midwife, maternity nurse, nursery worker, or in a community or support role this could be an opportunity to use your skills in a new and rewarding way.

About the Role

As a Parent and Child Foster Carer, you’ll welcome a parent and their baby or toddler into your home for a period of approximately 12 weeks.

You’ll work alongside our dedicated team of social workers and professionals to support the parent to develop their parenting capacity in a calm, safe and encouraging environment.

You’ll play a vital role in helping a family stay together and thrive using respect, empathy, empowerment and support to help build independence and confidence.

Location: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Herefordshire, Sandwell, Shropshire, Solihull, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Telford and Wrekin, Walsall, Warwickshire, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire.
